About the Company

Magnetic Resonance Innovations Inc (MRI Inc.) provides quantitative diagnostic data analysis for hospitals, radiologists, neurologist, private imaging centers and contract research organizations who deal with neurovascular and cardiovascular diseases.

MRI Inc. was founded in 1994 to address the need for advanced MR data analysis. Its team holds 12 international patents and has been cited over 20,000 times for its imaging research. Its patents and expert knowledge are the foundation of its state-of-the-art image processing software called SPIN (Signal Processing In Nuclear magnetic resonance). The team has successfully developed collaborations with global corporations, leading to worldwide commercialization of earlier products; research-versions of the company’s new products are already used in thousands of sites internationally.

MRI Inc. is committed to completing the FDA approval process for the first of its products. Down the road, it will have products related to quantifying cerebral microbleeds (CMBs), flow, iron content, and white matter hyperintensities. The result will be an easy to use and fully automated diagnostic and quantitative analysis software deployable in an on-demand cloud environment. One of its major current thrusts is the detection, diagnosis and quantification of Cerebral Microbleeds (CMBs) which are a critical factor in the identification, treatment, and monitoring of neurological diseases such as traumatic brain injury (TBI), Stroke, Vascular Dementia and Parkinson’s disease (PD).

The value of the company’s software can be quantified by the improved speed and accuracy of diagnosis gained by the physician. This drives improved care plans, lowers total cost of patient care, risk avoidance as well as long-term “big data” suitable for research analytics supporting pharmaceutical and scientific organizations in the prediction, prevention and cure of these diseases.
