This is a unique opportunity for students seeking to accelerate their business experience. You will contribute to the grounds-up development of a startup joint-venture at the crossroads of manufacturing, international distribution, and B2B e-commerce.
The company is a North-American joint-venture with one of the largest Lean Enterprise solutions specialists in the world. It distributes a one-stop-shop catalog of 2,300+ products for lean manufacturing and lean office, 5S, TPM, KANBAN, visual management, Six Sigma, Kaizen etc. Its references include companies such as Ford, Toyota, Mercedes, BMW, Delphi, Bosch, Valeo, Michelin, Delphi, Mahle, Airbus, Dupont, Aventis, Bayer, BASF, Sanofi, Heineken, Coca-Cola, Kraft Foods, Dannon, Nestle, L’Oreal, Chanel, Philips, and hundreds of other corporations.
Your Activities
You will act as a General Management Associate, directly supporting the joint-venture’s CEO and learn from his experience as the former head of NISSAN’s first expansion in the United States. You will shadow and support a small team of founding members in their day-to-day activities, gaining invaluable experience in areas ranging from marketing & sales to accounting and logistics, project management, startup development, business process optimization and LEAN methodologies, to name a few.
Desired Skills and Experience
- At least 3rd or 4th-Year Student Majoring in Business / Accounting preferred but open to other backgrounds with strong interest in business management.
- Strong interest in learning all ropes of small-business day-to-day management.
- Strong computer skills and fast learner of new software.
- Action-oriented. Must have a “can-do” attitude, willing to learn and find solutions independently, and to progress.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Able to multi-task as required.
NB:
- Internship based in Manhattan.
- No relocation provided. Must be US citizen, green card, or international student with authorization for internship.
- Internship starts no later than July 5, 2017 and lasts 2 to 3 months.
