Jabril Bensedrine, PhD
Managing Partner
Jabril_thmb.pngJabril, who founded and seed funded Triana in 2008, initiates and coordinates the design of our projects and new ventures. Jabril’s expertise focuses on the assessment of strategic options, market intelligence, feasibility studies, strategic planning, and project development. Before founding Triana, Jabril took part to the design or funding of projects totaling several hundred million dollars as an expert for financial consulting firm Kenneth J. Dalto & Associates. He also held training and management positions at higher education institutions and took part to the development of a new high-tech business incubator in the Paris region.

Frédéric Champavère
Managing Partner Europe
FCsmall.jpgFrédéric brings 30 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry in various managing positions in Europe and the USA. Prior to joining Triana, Frédéric was President of the French pharmaceutical company Negma following the acquisition by the Wockhardt Group of India and held responsibilities for continental Europe. He founded Pharma Omnium for which he raised €100 million with the investment fund Weinberg Capital Partners and acquired Biodim. Before going to the venture world, Frédéric had an extensive experience with Big Pharma either with multi country management experience in Europe or as President of Eli Lilly and Janssen-Cilag in France.

Jacques-Olivier d'Halluin

JOdHalluin_0.JPGPrior to Triana, Jacques-Olivier was Director of Finance at American Express, where he oversaw and prioritized the $500m strategic investment portfolio of the merchant-services business, and tackled the technical complexities involved with interacting with partner technology and distribution companies. Earlier in his career Jacques-Olivier was Manager at Arthur Andersen France, in charge of performing financial due diligence for numerous international acquisitions totaling several hundred million dollars. He studied at UCLA and is a graduate of the Institute of Higher Economical and Commercial studies, Paris.

David-Alexandre Baranes

photosite.JPGBefore joining Triana as a founding team member in 2008, David-Alexandre served as a financial engineering consultant with the international bank Société Générale. He brings to Triana experience in initiating, financing and leading projects in corporate, non-profit, and military environments. David-Alexandre received his engineering degree from the Ecole Polytechnique in France and a Masters in Finance from Columbia University.

 

Philippe Metais
Business Development France
PMetais small.jpgPhilippe has been supporting and advising midsized companies for more than 15 years in the fields of strategy, financing and international development. Before joining Triana, Philippe was Associate Director at the French American Chamber of Commerce New York, where he created and developed the support services department for French companies. Prior to the French American Chamber of Commerce, he was in charge of SME support and international development at the Paris Chamber of Commerce, and worked in a consulting company. Philippe holds a Biology-Biotechnology degree from Paris University VI and XI, and a degree from the CERAM-ESC Nice business school.

Lorraine Marchand

piclorraine.jpgPresident and CEO of BioSpark LLC, Lorraine is a leader in the life sciences industry with 24 years experience in management, operations and business development for pharma/biotech, devices/diagnostics, contract research organizations, academic and Federal clinical research and consulting. Formerly, she was President and CEO for Ocular Proteomics LLC an ophthalmic diagnostics company; Chief Operating Officer for Clinilabs a contract research organization; VP for Covance, a global contract research organization; and Executive Director of Global Clinical Development for Bristol-Myers Squibb. Lorraine is a member of the New Jersey Technology Council, Maryland Technology Council, BIO and the Women’s Investors Network. She received MBAs from Columbia University and the London Business School.

Pamela Yih
Co-Director
pamela.jpgPresident of Pamela Y-F Yih, Inc. since 1993, specializing in commercialization strategies, strategic marketing in multiple therapeutic areas, and developing cross functional commercial planning/evaluation/business development processes. Prior to starting her own company, Pamela was at Squibb/Bristol Myers Squibb in roles of increasing responsibility in US Medical Marketing and subsequently in Worldwide Product and Business Planning where she was responsible for the ACE Inhibitor franchise and led the global commercialization and launches for Monopril and the new indications for Capoten. Pamela started her career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska, College of Pharmacy. She is a graduate of the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Doctorate of Pharmacy.

Erik Grimmelmann, PhD
Managing Director
Erik.jpgErik has over twenty years experience in developing, delivering, and operating information technology. He was the Vice President, Architecture and Lead Architect at Cometa Network, Inc., a provider of nationwide, enterprise-grade WiFi, formed by IBM, AT&T, Intel and two venture firms, Apax and 3i. Prior to that he was Senior Vice President of Technology Infrastructure at Dun & Bradstreet where he was responsible for modernizing and globalizing D&B’s worldwide infrastructure. Erik held also a variety of senior positions at AT&T including Vice President of Network and Access and Vice President of Service Integration and Realization. Erik sits on the Board of the New York Software Industry Association.

Bertrand Leseigneur
Project Manager

bertrand_thmb.pngBertrand brings 7 years of experience in the field of new technology from l’Echangeur, a technological showroom in Paris.   As the former Marketing Manager of Snitts.com, he has extensive experience in Marketing, Internet, social media and SEO. Additionally, he brings to Triana a solid experience in project management, management of technological innovation and creation of partnerships. Bertrand received his Master’s degree in strategy and evaluation from the University of Paris 2 Assas in France.
